Member Goals

Most people who sign up for our Online Program post some personal goals. Many of our members have said that publically stating these goals is very important because it helps them to keep focused on their commitment to try to reach their goals. Posting goals also helps others to decide what they would like to try to work toward. 

Get inspired by reading some of these Goals!

penelope007’s Goals are to:
   1. lose 15 lbs by end of the year 2010 emphasizing portion control
   2. Exercise - aerobic - 5x / week for 60 minutes and wear pedometer daily
   3. record all food eaten on sparkpeople.com

BobStocking’s Goals are to:
   1. To remember that I am not my own. I was bought at a very high price. Because of this, I am a steward of my body. The condition of my body reflects my stewardship. Focus on this until 8/14/2010.
   2. Eat only healthy foods. Stay away from junk food. I am stronger than that piece of cake. Record all foods consumed until 8/14/2010.
   3. Exercise at least 30 minutes daily. This includes anything that keeps my heart in the target zone such as mowing the lawn with a push reel mower, walking, etc. Record all exercise until 8/14/2010.

dezdix’s Goals are to:
   1. Lose 15 lbs
   2. Exercise 1 hour per day
   3. shrink 1 dress size

mithrilmaid’s Goals are to:
   1. To lose 22 pounds [short term goal]. To drop at least one dress size. To exercise consistently and at a challenging but realistic pace To set a healthy example to my children. To set up a studio area in my house where I can paint and craft. To do some college courses. To reconnect with lost friends. To lose 87 pounds [long term goal].
   2. consistent work out 3x week
   3. less carbs more veggies

jans’s Goals are to:
   1. To live a healthy live style consistently.
   2. To learn to eat healthy snacks.

gordi’s Goals are to:
   1. Enjoy getting my picture taken. Loose enough 20 pounds
   2. consistent work out 3x week
   3. less carbs more veggies

Markham’s Goals are to:
   1. Loose 20 pounds and maintain the weight loss
   2. Be more active, consistently
   3. Increase overall energy levels

acridrabbit’s Goals are to:
   1. lose 18 pounds, maintain at 135, get stronger, improve cardio fitness.

mlyn’s Goals are to:
   1. Exercise at least 3x a week - 30 mins a day.
   2. Eat more veggies and fruits and less meat.
   3. To lose weight (10-20 lbs by December 2010). So I could look better and most importantly, feel better and have more energy so I can spend more time with my 2 kids.

Brenda’s Goals are to:
   1. Improve my overall health--lower blood sugar level; improve breathing and swallowing
   2. Lose 65 lbs from April 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010
   3. Develop the skills needed to manage my weight long-term

PM23’s Goals are to:
   1. Decrease total body fat %
   2. Increase lean muscle mass
   3. Increase overall energy levels

MJSheppard’s Goals are to:
   1. Lose 15-20 pounds between May 2010 and August 2010.
   2. Improve my overall health.
   3. Increase my physical fitness to participate in various activities.

Nanner’s Goals are to:
   1. I want to lose 100 pounds and be my wedding weight.
   2. I want to increase my mobility so I can continue to work without injury
   3. I want to feel attractive and sexy

shoegirl78’s Goals are to:
   1. Lose weight so I can run and play with my son. I want to set a healthy example for him so that, hopefully, he won't have to struggle with his weight and health as I have.

Seven’s Goals are to:
   1. Increase core strength, tone and increase muscle mass
   2. Reduce weight to 145 lbs.
   3. Exercise regularly
